The Department of German and Comparative Literature and Culture (IGLK)

The IGLK is made up of six smaller departments of the German Studies (Germanistik), Comparative Studies (Komparatistik), Scandinavian Studies (Skandinavistik) and German Didactics (Deutschdidaktik), which are strongly interconnected both in teaching and research. This is how we, on the one side, preserve interests in historically grounded traditional methods and identities, as well as, on the other side, gain a multiperspective view of languages, literatures and cultures of the German, Scandinavian and overall European and global space. Disciplinary differentiation and interconnection in between disciplines are the key variable of our department.
